When’s the best day of the week to send out email? Well, if the 30 million hits Rebecca Black has earned on YouTube is any indication, you might think you “gotta get down on Friday.”
But we crunched the numbers on 1.5 billion email sent in the first half of this year, and even though 13% of emails get sent on a Friday, most people are working for the weekend at that point.
Friday’s emails are clicked about 0.07% less on average and Wednesday’s are even worse (in fact, the whole last half of the week seems to be below par). The emails that appear to get the most interest? Saturday and Sunday – when less than 2% of weekly emails are sent, yours might just cut through the clutter. So when it comes to email marketing, you might want to follow the numbers.
